Andre Pretorius has joined up with the Springbok squad and is optimistic about his chances of regaining full fitness ahead of the World Cup which starts next month.
Pretorius - who spent a week in Germany with hamstring specialist Dr Hans-Wilhelm Müller-Wohlfarth - returned to South Africa on Saturday night and joined up with the Boks in Durban yesterday.
The German doctor identified problems in his back and he underwent an intense treatment and rehabilitation program designed to get his back fit and ready to play.
Pretorius is expected to be gradually eased back into training from today and he is eager to play some part in the game against Namibia on August 15 in Cape Town.
